Description
This Fill Pack completes the upload of all the outstanding issues from the first run of the Chronology, apart from the un-scanned issues of Crazy and the last issue of Disney's The Little Mermaid.
The next Fill Pack, number 008, will feature titles from The Decades strand not previously uploaded and a number of better scans for titles in the regular monthly uploads which have become available. And a few other things as well. At the moment it is nearly 2gb in size so it is safe to say that a Fill Pack 009 will follow soon after.
As we (nearly) complete the original 1961-1996 Chronology with this Fill Pack this is as good a time as any to reflect on what the Chronology is.
What it has never been is just a Superhero-only or Marvel Universe-only series.
There have been humour titles (Crazy, Not Brand Ecch), fanzines (Pizzazz, FOOM), horror (Tomb of Dracula, Frankenstein), other imprints ( Disney, Power Rangers, Ren and Stimpy).
And Chuck has also always sought to upgrade the Chronology with newer better copies using the Fill Packs.
So, to the future - the Complete Marvel Chronology will continue to follow Chuck's precedents as well as finally include the other imprints that were intended to follow the original Chronology.
It is my hope that the CMC will be completed without the need for too many Fill Packs, apart from as-yet un-scanned titles.
I would welcome Chuck's clarification on these comments (assuming he isn't downloading the Fill Packs) simply because now that the old torrents have long been deleted by Chuck my recollections, much as I believe them to be right, are all I have to go on.
Thanks to all the scanners and uploaders who have made these comics available, and as always massive thanks to Chuck for starting the Chronology in the first place.
