In the 1970s, RCA began its Gold Standard 45rpm single series, highlighting "the greatest recording artists
of our time in their most outstanding performances." These records, marked by the 447 prefix on the label, feature
the original mono single mixes and boast sound quality superior to that found on the vintage 45s. Among these titles
were ten records (twenty songs total) by Sam Cooke, first released between 1957 and 1965. We have collected all twenty
Cooke recordings here, presented in order of appearance on the Billboard Top 40 chart., all taken from RCA Gold Standard
45s. Several tracks were 24-bit declicked using ClickRepair. No noise reduction was used.

Among the rare
alternate versions on this disc are the unique single mix of "Good Times" and the edit of "A Change Is
Gonna Come," which excises the middle verse. Neither of these has ever been released on CD.
