Following the death of her husband in 1946,
author Molly Keane didn’t write again for nearly 30 years.
But when Peggy Ashcroft read this
manuscript, she encouraged Molly to publish it.
Good Behaviour went on to be
shortlisted for the Man Booker prize in 1981.
